Sigrid Klaiber was born in 1959
in the town of Hovestadt,
which is in the province
of Nordrhein-Westphalia,
Germany.
After graduation from technical school,
she completed in 1979 an
apprenticeship in photography.
In the same year, she married
Gottfried Klaiber, a master photographer
who later taught photography
at a technical university.
Their children were born in 1980 and 1982.
In 1994 she began her studies
in communications design at the College
of Applied Arts and Sciences in Hildesheim,
from where she graduated
in the year 2000 with a degree
in design graphics.
Since then she has worked as a
freelance artist and designer
in the fields of graphic design
and photography.
